Rev. Sam Abraham,
Hermon Mar Thoma Church Atlanta
In Thanksgiving, let us make our resolution—one of repentance and
inner change, aimed at "the one needful thing"—pursuing our lives in
accordance with the will of God and the example of our Savior. Let
us lay aside all the earth’s cares and resolutions and replace them
with a firm commitment to seek renewal in the Lord. Let us resolve
to remain vigilant in fulfilling this resolution, especially in times of
temptation and or distress—times when our Lord is quick to hear
our prayers for help, guidance, and direction. In doing so, we will
discover that the Lord is with us at every moment and in every
circumstance, allowing us to grow in and with Him now and in the
days to come.
Before I conclude, let me assure you, God is intensely interested in
us! We are special to Him. He wants us to be happy and fulfilled, so
let’s all turn each day beyond ourselves, to God, who beckons us
toward life's highest joy, as during this season when we have begun
sending one another greetings for true happiness.
My family and I take this opportunity to wish each one of you a spirit
filled New Year.
Yours in Christ
